Three pigs and a baby

I feel that this kid/adult animation could have been more effective if it was a bit shorter. This would have done well as a small half hour sort of special rather than an hour and a half of this and that. Think three men and a baby with pigs and a wolf. I am not displeased by the toon, just think it should have been edited a bit more.

Be Kind Rewind

Not many people have heard of this flick but its pretty good. Jack Black plays an idiot who gets magnetized and inadvertently erases all of the VHS tapes at the video rental shop where his friend works. The boss, played by Danny Glover, goes away on a memorial trip and leaves the store to Mike (Mos Def). Mr. Fletcher (Glover) is under a great deal of pressure from a developer who wishes to demolish the video store and get rid of the slummy looking parts of the building. Since the only means of income are the videos, Mike gets the grand idea to re-shoot all of the erased flicks. After a successful run, Sigourney Weaver's character pops in to lay down the Copyright law. The store closes and the entire lot of the "Sweded" movies are destroyed. They town comes together in the end but you'll have to see what happens to the store.
It brought some tears which were rather unexpected.
Cheers

Penelope

If you are in the mood for a cute movie, then give this one a go. Penelope stars Christina Ricci, as our lovely cursed pig faced girl. She has to find love amongst her class in order to break the spell. The characters are charming, the story is charming, and it was fun to watch Ricci try to drink a mug of draught from a straw.
Feel good movie.

Charlie Bartlett

I really didn't know much about this movie going in to watch it, but I ended up really liking it. Its a typical high school story, battle for popularity, teen problems, and the like. You immediately begin to like the characters and even root for them. You can see that Charlie really does mean well.
Might as well give it a view eh?

Sis' Bday

Though I write this under the influence of blueberry vodka and other things, I write with great sincerity. I am a wee bit hurt tonight. You see I went the extra mile to make my sister's birthday a good one. I bought a load of gifts, spent a load on dinner for her husband to drink his jack and sevens and then then then she goes and sees the comedian that I most favour? Why in the bloody hell did she not mention that she was going to go see him and not tell me. I had mentioned it before as an option and she merely waved it off, telling me that "oh that's okay I don't think I'd like that" like it like it????? why would you bloody go then if you didn't like it. I realize that I wasn't seeing billy connolly or robin williams but steven lynch is one of the coolest singing comedians I know. Well I'm quite sure I'm feeling butt hurt for no reason but why didn't she say anything?

Spiderwick Chronicles

I do fancy a good magical feel good movie from time to time. Freddie Highmore did a grand job playing two parts, think parent trap style. The movie, based on the books by Holly Black and Tony DiTerlizzi, opens the viewer up to the magical world, whilst dealing with the real world's problems. Having no choice the Grace family moves from NYC to a country house given to them by their crazy Aunt. Jared finds a key and a secret room, which leads to a dangerous book. Having read the book Jared's eyes are then opened to magical world.
The CG wasn't great but I still fancied it.

I was in a Documentry and they cut my lines.

I know it takes forever to load bloody tudou

Pneumonia oh and Jumper

I shall say it sucks quite a bit. The very strange cough, the heaviness in the chest, the constant short breathed/gunk in the pipes feeling.
With that I shall say my bit on Jumper.

So I just saw this the other night and it was as I expected it.

How deep could you make a flick about a kid who can instantly jump to a place he's seen or perhaps a place in a picture? This isn't some really cool "nightcrawler" movie where our blue hero has to run from mutant haters, its a Sam Jackson movie about over zealous religious nuts hunting down others because they don't think they should exist. Can anyone say Jihad here? I shouldn't offend anyone as there are extremists everywhere, heck why would Christians think that land held in Some other place leagues upon leagues away from their dismal home, belongs to them based on a story? I know that was a run on but I don't bloody care. Jumper was entertaining, and Sam Jackson looks cool with white hair. I hope he knows how to climb. I don't know if it was at the paladin training academy.

Mad Money

I suppose Tom Cruise let Katie go for a bit to film this cute, feel good movie. Queen Latifah, Diane Keaton, Ted Danson, and Katie Holmes (Cruise?) star in this funny larceny film.
Diane Keaton's character has to go back to work after her and her husband (Ted Danson) fall on hard times. She tries to find a job everywhere, and finally after a tip from her Maid, she gets a job at the Federal Reserve as a cleaning lady. Queen Latifah plays a mom who's sole job at the reserve is to destroy millions and millions of dollars worth of money each day. Diane Keaton recruits Queen and eventually Katie's characters, to pull off a heist, steal from the federal reserve. You'll have to watch the rest to find out what happens though.

27 Dresses

A cute movie, starring cyclops and a young "knocked up" alien from Roswell. I kid, it was very predictable, but if you're looking for a good movie to get your girlie to snuggle you with the passion of a warehouse full of 1000 ct sheets, then watch this one.
The girl in the story is a wedding addict, "always the bridesmaid and never the bride", she's been to 27 weddings with 27 horrid wedding maid dresses. The man of her dreams falls for her snooty sis. With the twists and turns, she finally learns to say no and finds happiness, and a place for all those dresses.
