random math probs

Suppose the value V (in dollars_ of a car is described by the equation V= -2000t + 22000, where t is the number of years after the car was purchased. (a) Determine the slope of the line and interpret its meaning using correct units. (b) Determine the coordinates of the V-intercept of the line and interpret their meaning using correct units. (c) Determine the coordinates of the t-intercept of the line and interpret their meaning using correct units.

(a) slope of the line is negative, vehicles depreciate from the value of 22000 at a decling rate of negative 2000.
(b) coordinate of v-intercept is 22000, it is the beginning value of the vehicle before its depreciates over time.
(c) t intercept determines the value of the vehicle at any given time.

I agree with everything except for (c). t intercept represents the time at which the car depreciates to zero value, whereas V is the value at any given time t.

Those people apparantly have too much time on their hands... unlike me who works three jobs and barely has time to read blogs letalone sit and solve a random math problem!

It took less time and words for me to write the solution than it did for you to make your cutting remark. Sounds like you are a hard worker, and probably don't receive the credit you deserve for the time you put in.......life is tough, and regardless of what your teacher and mom & dad told you....It's not fair.
